Greenhouse gardening...

Over the past month I have transplanted over 600 tomato plants with the help of my Mom of course. My Mom started plants in Jan. from seed and then used grow lights in the basement and grow room to help them grow. Everything is grown organically. I started helping in March. We started everything from seeds. The pictures above are the tomatoes that we started. They got transplanted into labeled cups. Eventually, they will be tied and when tall enough be planted into the ground at my Mom's and Dad's house or sold. There are over 30 different varieties of tomatoes.

Day 1: Greenhouse gardening

Day 1 of greenhouse planting, March 7th. I am working with my Mom and Dad this summer to help their spray free vegetable garden prosper even more than it has. My Mom started working months ago planting different tomato's in the house under grow lights. Now that the weather has gotten a little warmer we are able to utilize the re-vamped greenhouse. We moved some tomato's into cups to grow and eventually be planted outside. We also started many tomato seeds; here is a list of tomato's that have been started: Great White, Mr. Stripey, Georgia Streak, Sun Gold, Heirloom Tall Vine Cherokee Green, Lillian's Yellow Heirloom, Mr. Underwood's Pink German, Carbon, Fireworks, Yellow Brandywine, Believe it or not, 1884, Kimberly, Dixie Golden Giant, Aunt Ruby's German, Virginia Sweets, Big Zebra, Marizol Purple, Cherokee Purple, Yellow Branywine, Mammoth German Gold, and Old German. Eventually all of these seeds will be transplanted into cups and then into the ground, and made available for purchase or sold to the restaurants my Dad has for customers.
